Default Aggro Indicator Change?

Is it just me, or was the player-window "aggro indicator" (the little crossed swords) recently changed?

Before it would pop up the instant something aggro'd you. Now (as of a day or two ago, last I've played) it only seems to be doing it once you've been SWUNG which is a VERY VERY different thing (especially if you go flying by at speeds > the mobs).

Has anyone else noticed this? And if one of our great UI Devs read this, (and it is a real change) was it intentional?

I've noticed it too. I'm so used to it being instant that its throwing me off especially when I'm trying to stealth around certain mobs.

Yes, it seems to be basically useless in its current form.

It's not an aggro indicator. It's never been an aggro indicator.

It's an "In Combat" indicator, to show when you are currently "in combat".

Big difference.

You can be aggroed by a mob and not be in-combat. Subsequently, you can be in-combat and not be on a mob's hate list. The latter is pretty difficult to pull off, but the former is very easy to do.

If it was changed on purpose, I can see why (kind of) since it was definitely useful for knowing what's going on without having to really look around. But if it really is just an icon for showing you when you're "in combat".... it's perrrrrty useless.

Wrong and completely wrong. It was an aggro indicator, it showed when you had aggro even if you never entered combat. This is consistent with the fact that the data point that triggers the icon is called "IsHated", not "InCombat".

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

Exactly. This change is throwing me off, especially when doing things like harvesting in aggro areas. The whole point of it before was to say "Something hates you!" not "You're actively engaged in combat".

If I want to know when I'm engaged in combat, I just look at my power regen stat -- it drops to its in-combat level when I'm in combat (I know, shocking hehe).

I hope this was an unintentional change. Saaaaave me, Rothgar/Zoltaroth

If the change was intentional it's silly. I don't need a red cross to tell me when I'm in combat I do however like to know that someone hates me so I don't stop for that shiney and get bombed with 5 red con mobs lol
