Thanks, and cheers.
1. Oops.
2. I figured that it would be easier to avoid some confusion by sticking all the files in a different starter directory. I know that it makes it a bit strange with the name, but I wasn't sure what else to call it at the time. Some are not always great with uninstall instructions, though there really wouldn't be any conflicts considering a lot of the files I renamed slightly.
3. I realized I forgot the T8 writ buttons, yes, but I didn't add them at the time considering, as you said, they were gonna be empty anyhow.
4. Either way, I figured works fine for that. I'll probably switch it to select the index as well.

That's cool, if your users read your installation instructions, I was just afraid that they might only take the InfoCenter folder out of your archive (instead of the entire DrumsUI\Infocenter tree) because that's what they were used to. Time will tell.

Can I pitch in feedback here, or should I delete this and send it as a PM?
Anyway, I've no idea if you can, but if you can put a search function somewhere in the info center? I've been using it a good bit to brush back up on stuff I should already know, because I recently started playing again and have forgotten most everything. In using it, that's the thing that I wish was there most often. Anyway, other than that, it's just exactly what I need, so thank you for putting it back out there.

Hmm...I really want to use this mod, but whenever I open it I get nothing but a big black box. The only other mods I am using are EQ2MAP, EQ2MAP POI Finder, DrumsUI Horizontal Journal, and this mod. I have my DrumsUI folder inside my EQ2MAP folder which is my customUI directory. My eq2ui_custom.xml reads as folows:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Page IgnoreTab="false" ismodule="true" Name="Custom" PackSize="1,1" PackSizeProp="0002/0003,0002/0003" ScrollExtent="1024,768" Size="1024,768" Visible="false">
<include>eq2ui_custom_poifinder.xml</include>
<include>eq2ui_custom_infocenter.xml</include>
</Page>
Any ideas?

First, thanks for explaining everything in detail. Avoids me asking other questions
It appears you have everything in the right place. I also use the POI Finder. I suggest making sure that eq2ui_custom_infocenter.xml is in your customUI folder (EQ2MAP in your case) and maybe try unzipping the files from the zip again into the directory.
Will be releasing an update soon which will change the DrumsUI folder to just be the InfoCenter folder. Maybe this will fix any problems or confusion that may occur.

Sorry I did not see this earlier. I can't really think too much of a great way to implement any kind of "search" into the InfoCenter. The only thing I see feasible would be an online InfoCenter, but that would pretty much defeat the purpose since you can open thinks such as eq2.wikia.com in the in-game browser.

unable to close
ok.. I've not been able to close the infocenter by way of the x button, however I found a way to close it. It would seem that right clicking anywhere on the window and adding the close option to the popup window that comes up will close the window.
Anyone not able to close the infocenter just edit the top line of this file "eq2ui_custom_infocenter.xml", that looks like this
"<Page Activated="true" allowcloseontop=" false" eq2usescomwndcontrols="true" Location="166,199" MinimumSize="620,250" Name="InfoCenter" OnShow="TabPages.Miscellaneous.visible=true
OnShow=' '" ScrollExtent="700,410" Size="700,410" UserMovable="true" UserResizable="true" version="1.0">
to this
<Page Activated="true" allowcloseontop=" true" eq2usescomwndcontrols="true" Location="166,199" MinimumSize="620,250" Name="InfoCenter" OnShow="TabPages.Miscellaneous.visible=true
OnShow=' '" ScrollExtent="700,410" Size="700,410" UserMovable="true" UserResizable="true" version="1.0">
Save it and close it, then log back into game.
When ye right click within the window the close option will be there and allow ye to close the window.

The reason this value is set to False, is so that the ESC key will not close the window.
Keep your eyes peeled, as I'm going to revert the Close button back to normal, so that it has the default X button. Right now it's a custom button in which to trick the UI to hiding the window, instead of closing it.
If people need to keep their current location in the info center, then they will just have to minimize. hehe.

I still think the /hide_window issue is for people who did not install correctly to the Custom tree or have several instances of the InfoCenter. Have you considered to work around that by - instead of using /hide_window - simply setting Parent.Visibility=false instead? That way you'd be independent of the how they installed it.

Good call. I'll do this first. Now I'm wondering why I didn't think of that in the first place.

I need help please!
Hi! I love the concept behind this but I can't get it to work. I've never had InfoCenter before, so this is a first-time install. I unzipped it to the Custom_UI folder, kept the file structure intact, and renamed the eq2ui_custom_optional.xml to eq2ui_custom.xml as directed. When I go into the EQ2 button I see no additional button for InfoCenter and when I try /show_window Custom.InfoCenter that doesn't work either. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'd REALLY like to get this to work properly for me. Thanks in advance!
