Default Broker pricing mod

I sell a lot of items and have to continuing locate the lowest priced item and use a calculator to determine what the 10% market price would be based on the price it is being sold.

It would be great if we had a way to enter or view the current broker price less a 10% or 20% markup. This is not to be confused with the seller's price. I other words I am interested in taking the price with broker commission and viewing the amount less 10% and 20%.

Thank you.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I think when you put up items from within your home, you can see the price without the percentage. But I'm not positive on that, or if it shows other's prices without it or not.

If when in your home you click a market board you get the price with the markup. If you click a sales display instead you get raw price with no indication of markup.

Alternatively, if you click the first item and look at the bottom of the screen it'll show you the raw price and the markup.

I think they're looking for a simple button or whatever to automatically generate a number (in coin terms) that is 10% or 20% below the current "with tax" price.

I don't know how possible it is, since the text is formatted that may pose an issue, or it may not depending on how its done.

I see. The issue is that price is displayed with formatting. So while 3g looks like it should be easy to calculate, we have no way through UI programming to perform any math on it. You'd have to first remove the color and then strip the letters while at the same time converting it to a usable format. So 3g, 2s, 9c has to somehow become 30209. There is no automated way to strip that formatting.

You cannot even access that number unless you select the line first, and in that case it's pointless because, as you pointed out, the value you want to calculate is already shown at the bottom of the window.

I know his issue. You can see the price without commission at the bottom, but what if the seller has 20% and yours is only 10% (due to the veteran cabinet for example)? Then you can only try until your price is slightly under the lowest or use a calculator.

I don't mean any offense, but frankly, I think some folk spend *FAR* too much time worrying about the "perfect" price at which to sell something.

Personally, when I put an item on the broker, or reprice something that hasn't sold yet, all I do is do a quick search to see what the lowest price currently is, and price mine a bit less. And no, I don't play the 1 copper game; that's just annoying. I keep lowering the price periodically (typically every day or two) until either the item sells or I just give up and sell it to an NPC vendor. *Shrug* I've never been able to convince myself that the broker is worth any more time or effort than that. It certainly makes no sense to me to pull out a calculator and try to figure out exactly the "right" price for an item, when the prices charged by others selling the same item are going to be fluctuating constantly, and often wildly, anyway.

Agreed in that respect.

And when it comes to folks pricing an item, I actually go out of my way to not buy from folks that price at weird amounts and undercutting by 1cp. In fact for most items if there is any copper in either your listed price or the post tax price I don't like buying it (but that depends on the item's actual price, but for most items priced in the gold range i don't want to see copper on there).
