Slow File Extracting with Vista?

Vista is to much eye candy and not enough performance in my opinion
you need latest spec pc, 3-4 gig mem quad proc' etc to get it to move at any
decent speed.
Alhough it shoudnt take that long to unzip, unless you have a older system with 1gig of mem.

defragging may help, but new hd.s are that fast that it prob wont make much difference.

Go back to XP, I did, and havnt regretted it one bit.
There will be a day when Vista is a must as xp was when win98 got the boot.
But till that day, XP stays.
