I am having trouble connecting.I get a "Can't Connect! Please check your internet connection settings and try again later... Do you want to change your proxy settings"?

The same problem from darkblade70.
I've seen the FAQ and follow the step,but still cannot connect!
I open "hosts" file and paste the line 85.214.17.144 updater.pala.de ,then restart computer,but still can't connect!
please help
