Default Issues with eq2ui

I seem to be having a problem with this file. Specifically, if I do not include it, the fonts do not show up, if I do include it, windows that have not yet been modified into the skin show up mostly blacked out and not working. Editing this file has proven problematic at best.

I have not yet skinned the guild bank, bank mail and socials windows, and other than icons showing the window is completely black.

Does anyone know a way around this so that I can go ahead and post the working files I do have complete for download? Thanks in advance for any advise. If this post is somehow too vague, pls let me know so I can elaborate more. Thanks again!

This file is the root of the UI tree and has to be included with any UI mod.

You also need a copy of the default directory in the same path as you UI's directory because the way the system works is; if it can't find the file in you UI's directory it will search the default UI directory for it.

Do you mean I need to copy the EQ2ui file from the default folder to the custom folder?

I currently have this file in the custom folder, but the windows I have not yet touched are turning up black in game. I'll try to post a SS here in a few minutes of the issue
.

That's right.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

OK here are the mail, bank and guild bank windows. These have not been modded in anyway yet, but still will not show up correctly no matter what I do. I was hoping to release what I have modded so far for beta testing, but this issue is stopping me from posting and files for download. It is as if the image files are missing, but they are not, and removing the eq2ui file then loading the game, they show up fine, but the rest of the UI pieces go haywire. I am really at a loss here.

Edit: Guess it would help if I posted the files.

In you custom directory you should only have the following files.

eq2ui.xml
<any files that you changed>.xml
skininfo.xml (this isn't needed is info that is shown when someone does /loadui)

From the looks of you SS, it looks like you have an altered eq2ui_windowframes.xml file that is missing the image styles or is just totaly FUBAR'ed.

For some reason, when I add the EQ2ui then open the UIbuilder to edit so I can see the full window, it adds every other window that would normally be in the Eq2_Mainhud folder, even thought they are not. This would probably be easier if I posted the files themselves so you can view them. Attached the EQ2ui and eq2ui_mainhud files. Maybe someone better at this can pick up what I've messed up so badly.
