Game Update 57 has been pushed live today with an extremely large amount of changes to the default UI. Windows have been combined and changed and this will cause some problems with your custom UI.
- Give authors time to update their UI and UI pieces. They do this for fun.
- If you find/develop a fix for something share it with your fellow EQ2 players.
- Dont post "xyz doesn't work" if there is already some one saying that.
- If something doesn't work try to give a detailed description other than "doesn't work". Post pictures of your problem too!
Keep an eye on the latest interface updates using our latest updated list. If you want to be alerted for an update register for a free eq2interface account and add the interface to your favorites list and enable email updates.

| EverQuest II adding "Free to Play" |

 Sony Online Entertainment has announced a new EverQuest II feature that brings the free to play MMO model to the game called EverQuest II Extended. This new service will be applied to the NEW EQII Extended servers only. The service will not be available on the existing servers.
You can read more about the service in their official announcement. You can also see a breakdown of pricing vs what you get for free here.

| Game Update 56 - Halas Reborn |

 Today Game Update 56 has gone live and with it has brought some changes to the default UI. I have posted a compare of the default UI to show the changes made.
With the new travel system and story teller window some people may experience some trouble with UI's that customize the eq2ui_popup.xml & eq2ui_journals_quest.xml. Also if your custom UI customizes the eq2ui_loginscene.xml you may have trouble creating a character in the new Halas lands. You may want to try renaming/removing these files temporarily until the author of your UI releases an update.
Please be polite & patient as authors update their UI's. They are doing this out of their free time at no charge.

Our friends at ZAM earlier discovered that Alan Crosby had left SOE. About an hour later word from SOE made it official...

 Registration for the 2010 SOE Fan Faire (August 5 - 8) at Bally's Las Vegas is now open! Click the big red register button on the official Fan Faire website for details! SOE knows how to party, I've been to many FanFaires and always had a great time; not to mention its in Vegas.
I just registered under Dolby on Befallen for EverQuest II
