Default Narative?

does anyone know what code/commandline to add/change in whichever file in the eq2 folder that will disable the narative that plays upon new char creation PERMANENTLY so that i don't have to be forced to listen to it each time i create a new character? the custom UI that i use does not SHOW the narative book, nor the 'end' button or any of that screen at all. it shows 'part' of my UI on the screen while the sound of the narative plays in the background. it shows 1 hotbar and the compass, and plays that lady narating the lore story.

i have tried hitting spacebar, esc, every key on my keyboard actually, nothing works. If i camp (which i can click on the chat box and type in text while it's playing in the background) either to char select or desktop, the next time i log into that char it restarts the narative from the beginning. i have also tried using default UI just to be able to bypass this narative then logging to desktop and reloading my custom UI. it starts from the beginning also as if i have never logged the char in, lol.

it's driving me crazy!!!

Look at the default UI for the "End" button. Copy that button into your custom UI. Clicking End will then stop the Narrative that plays in the beginning.

Should be relatively easy in UIBuilder.

The button is called "Skip" and is located in the SlideshowPage in the file eq2ui_hud_zoning.xml. You may need to copy the whole page.

But the easy way appears to me to just ask the author of the mini zoning mod you are using to fix the bug with the mod.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
