Default Spot on Map for a specified waypoint ?

After specifying a waypoint, I remember that a previous version marked that location as a spot on the map.

Has this feature been removed ?

Thanks for maintaining this great eq2 extension!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he (rdefonseka) is referring to the large red dot that was once displayed after manually entering a set of corrdinates. And I think that would have to be re-implemented by SOE.

Currently a blinking X displays. Unless the EQ2Map guys took it out recently.

I use the map file listed on that link and the dot is there, so it should fix his issue, I thought.

If your not seeing the flashing waypoint X your icon_map3.dds is out of date. The patcher doesnt replace/update this file (so people can have custom poi icons) so you'll need to delete it to get the new version of this file. Its located in the images/icons folder inside the custom UI folder.

Thanks for all the replies.

I deleted the icon_map3.dds file and it fixed my problem.

Now whenever I define a waypoint via /waypoint x,z,y I get a nice big flashing X on the map.

Very helpful
