Default Ammo Count

I was wondering if someone could figure out a way to get an ammo count for the new quivers and display it in the player window. Thanks for thinking about it.

I'd like to see this too. When you hover over the closedbag you get a tool tip that gives a total ammo count. I haven't done any UI work since EQ1 (under another name), and I have no idea how the EQ2 UI works, but it seems to me that the arrow count in the tool tip is a piece dynamic data that might be postable in a window. This is such a nice idea that I might have to start poking the UI again myself if no one else wants to do this.

It would be possible in certain ways, but it would to be a custom window that was called _inventory at the end, such as some of the mods out there that display the ammo slot, ie: eq2ui_mainhud_inventory.xml

And to display only the number, you'd basically be able to do it only by making a page, and puttin the icon, but move it so that it only display the bottom right hand corner of the icon.

That's the only way I can think of doing it, and that limits you to where you can put it...

What if you have different types of ammo in said bag though? Would this number be the total for all types of ammo in bag, or would you need to display each type of ammo totals? If each type ammo, then the window size will need to grow, my ammo bag is 12 slots, possible for 12 diff ammo types (numbers).

If you had a quiver instead of just arrows or whatever in the ammo slot, then it probably wouldn't be possible at all.

Dynamic data for "total ammo"...? I highly doubt it.

Like I mentioned before, when you hover your mouse over a closed bag in the main inventory window you get a popup tool tip that lists the contents of the bag. Is it possible to tap into that information as a persistent UI element?

Not currently, no. It'd be nice if there was some easy way for tooltips to have their own type of dyamic data available to us, but we are only able to use what is given to us

you can't get the tooltip information to play with. further the quiver makes use of the standard bag widget. so it's hardly possible to get a workaround for this.
