lol, tell your "friend" to delete the ..\Everquest II\logs\ folder and to type /log to turn chat logging off (if it's even on, otherwise type /log to turn it off again) and /log_input to turn input logging off (if it's on, otherwise repeat to turn off again).

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
