Make an empty UI\ProfitUI folder in your test server directory (or just delete everything including subfolders from your existing one), download junction.exe from Microsoft, and run it:

junction <ProfitUI live server directory> <ProfitUI test server directory>

There you go, you only need to download the files once but you automatically have them in two locations.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
