Oh that's interesting that you get the same error with henchman. That tells us that it's not a problem with the official updater. The server is fine also, you are possibly running some faulty antivirus/firewall software which is causing this.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
