*bah, lost the original post, trying to remember it all*

Tested on my home system, first without a proxy

1. Start the app. EQ2I News tab does not try to connect anywhere
2. Enable eq2map and interfaces. Edit: Change UI path
3. interfaces tab still tells you the wrong path in the right pane "file will be installed at" is the old path
4. restarting the app sets the correct path until you change it again
5. It says it will install Milquetowst InfoCenter directly into the \UI path, not in the customUI folder. When installing, it nevertheless puts it into the correct folder
6. Updating a UI does not work because it stores the update files without the dot between name.ext, e.g. 4277zip insteal of 4277.zip. Tested with several UIs, same error for all of them.
7. no idea what the dropdown below the auto-update UI checkbox is for, I could not get it to populate with anything
8. now enabling proxy settings works for EQ2MAP tab!
9. eq2i news tab still does not try to connect anywhere, neither direct nor proxy
10. interfaces tab ignores proxy settings and always tries direct connect and gives error message when that is blocked
11. eq2.ini received a "Modified by EQ2 Companion" line although except for that line nothing was modified.
12. love that dragoworl is still in there
