Default In game notepad

I would love to be able to make notes while playing and easily access them while playing.

I know game lets you log to a file while playing, but you can't access the notes you make. (/note????)

Do you have any interface that lets you open another application in a window within the game.

Default Notepad

Just have your game in window mode and use notepad. You can save all your notes and access them as you please. Soe allows the game to run in window mode for this and other reasons. One, you can also run a media player while playing eq2 as well so you can listen to your own music while playing thus no need for a built in music player which alot of people have asked for. There is one of these out there and I am sure someone with enough programming experience could come up with what you want but it would break soe's rules just like the in game music player does. It would have to attatch itself to the game memory to work and soe says this is a violation of the EULA. As modders we can only work with what soe allows us to which means only what the UI is designed to give us. We cannot tap into the memory or the game programming itself. Running another program while playing eq2 is okay though so I would just use wordpad or notepad. There are many more that are free as well that also index your files for easy access. Hope this helps.

Well...

I actually just gave it some thought... and it might be possible to do via the in-game browser. I'll give it some thought... I'm pretty sure I could do it with a yummy cookie.

I think the current browser does not allow to POST data, but the new browser that is currently on Test sounds like the real thing. If it is, lots of nice things will be possible to mod with it (anyone checked whether it does JavaScript?).

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

Thats what I'm thinking gm9... if they're going to use it to submit petitions then it's _got_ to be able to POST. =)
