Check this thread for info. I'm pretty sure gm9 has addressed that issue.

You are right of course, I have addressed that issue, lol.

Noxxer, I suppose you are using a localized installation of EQ2? I had not thought of those when creating the background images. The next release of ProfitUI will fully support German and French installations as well.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

I too am getting the white background (that really hurts the eyes while trying to read the stuff). I have the 2.8.2 version....and i have the english version of EQ2 (bought here in the States). Love the UI, just that persona window gives a headache....

Any ideas?

Yes, did you follow the installation instructions and download the background images?

haha....yeah....I think i fixed it at the same time you posted....it works now.

I love it...really makes the screen look more organized or something. I had to revert back to the original Inventory window, though....but other than that, I love it.

Great work....now, will this keep updated wtih every version of EQ2? I remember a UI I used with WoW, I had to jump through hoops to make it work with every update....

I also got the EQ2Maps, and that is incredible....

Thanks Guys....good job!!

Generally, the only things that have to be redownloaded / updated for a UI after a patch are things that have pretty major changes to them -- pretty much things that break functionality (or if SOE completely redesigns a window).

The backgrounds should be fine, I would think. If ProfitUI comes with an AutoUpdater, so long as you run that, it should keep the files up-to-date (note that after large, Game Updates, it can take a day or more for different UI authors to update, depending on how massive the changes are).

Most of the time nothing changes with each small patch (or nothing important), only when Game Updates go out do things really change, and then its usualyl only the heavily-altered windows that will stop working without being updated. Most windows will continue to work (although they may lack some new functionality that SOE introduces).

Hope that answered your question in a general sense (Sorry, I don't use Prophet UI, so I don't really know about it heh).

Hehe, thanks for trying.

No I don't have an auto-updater, but I usually have updated versions - if necessary - available here with each game update. If I can't make it in time I always post instructions on how to disable a particular window that will become problematic. Not that anybody reads it.
