Danjak, sounds like you have a corrupt uisettings file. The easy way is to delete it and select the default settings once you logged in (must delete it first though). If you have a custom setup that you want to keep you can edit your uisettings.ini by opening it in Notepad, searching for "BottomBar" and by replacing one character in there (not adding or deleting, you must be replacing it), e.g. "BottomCar".

XP window issues: I accidentally made XP window variant 2 the default in 2.7.1 (will switch it around again for 2.7.2). If you go into your ProfitUI directory you can extract variant 1 (custom inventory colors might stop working, I think I forgot to put it in for that variant).
musikman29, those errors are not crash related. Delete your eq2.ini in your \Everquest II directory to completely get rid of ProfitUI. Did you enable "r_aa_blit 1" in this file? It's the only thing that I can think of that might be crash related.
DamianCross, are you trying to load the UI via /loadui? No idea what else could be causing this otherwise.
