Thx for the feedback runamonk and Droiyan7. These fonts and alignment issues are really strange. I *think* Graig Warder's fix was only for having Smooth and Small fonts at the same time, at least it correctly aligned those on my system (but showing the standard fonts, not the custom ProfitUI fonts - another enigma. Maybe moving the fonts from _profit_styles.xml to eq2ui_fonts.xml might help, I never tried that so far...).
I'll try out your file for the alignment problem.
Thanks for your ardor, it will be helpful for improve our UI

It seems work fine on me.(see screenshots)
M...I edit rendering distance slider to 4 level(250,500,750,1000) and complex shader to 7 level(0,25,50,75,100,125,150), it might be affect.

Reason: Add info
With respect to the startbutton I was referring to the music sliders, maybe you didn't notice them yet. See this post with screenshots.
I noticed them, but I didn't noticed what is 'numbers being cut off' referring
That issue appear on me too(see screenshot)

Simple leads comfortable
Original rendering distance slider has almost 100 levels and complex shader has 301 levels, but that give no meaning. And I think 150~300 complex shader is too have to play, so also no meaning.(except screenshot mod )
Maybe my mod is oversimplification, but that levels are enough for me

I'm new to this UI after abandoning goldi, but i'm loving this one, i've got it working a treat now, although i would have some suggestions
a) the eq2ui_mainhud_memorized.xml unless i set AlwaysOnBottom="false" in that file then the bar at the bottom of the screen with the current int/wis stats etc. always is behind the widescreen letterbox and i can't ever access it.
b) the "My Class + level " stuff when browsing the market doesnt work for me at all, i click it, nothing changes, but if i click the TS one for tradeskill then that seems to work ok, i'm a 62 conj and it just laves it on 0-70 with no class change
c) The music level stuff seems to "forget" it's settings. I set them to say 100%, 80%, 40% then when i quit, reaload they're all at 0% again?
What's the 2nd button on pet control supposed to do? i see attack then the 2nd button, which just sends pet in to attack again?
Appart from those 3 minor bugs it's great, i love it, keep up the good work
a) is working as intended (I always wanted to say that ). If alwaysonbottom=true is not set, you risk covering other windows. ProfitUI is not meant to be used with the letterbox enabled. The bottom bar can be unlocked and extended upwards to create it's own letterbox area (transparent or black). However, it's true that we don't have a similar top letterbox effect. EDIT: Btw, the letterbox is working fine for me and is behind the bottom bar...
b) Hmm, I'll check the code for conjurors. It's working on my toons. Both buttons are supposed to set your adv/ts class and a level range up to 10 levels below your level.
c) is working as intended - or rather as far as I bothered to implement it so far. As written in the changelog, it's only a visual thing. The correct volume settings are remembered, just not shown. Same applies to the other sliders of the startbutton.
2nd pet attack button is useful after recalling your pet, as it resets the protect me/self settings.
We don't have a documentation for the UI, but I try to document all relevant changes in the changelog on the main info thread. Just reading through there should give you an idea about several functions of the UI (at least those that were recently added, there's loads more originally put in by Profit).
Regarding the bottom bar, is there someway to permanatly set it too 'off'. I dont use it, and as it stands now I have to manually shut it off everytime I log in.
Is there some easy true/false setting I can change someplace in an xml file?
I've posted on Mother's forum for the add on, figured I'd post here too, see if anyone else is having any issues. I use the EQ2Map Spoiler project that Mother put together, it worked fine until I upgraded to 2.4, wondered if anyone else was having any issues with it. If not, or if no one else is trying it with Profit, I'll refrain from any other questions here.
I just figured if anyone ( ie: gm9 ) is using it, they may be able to give a little help! Thanks for listening, and remember, the only stupid question is the one you never asked!!
qwerty, I checked and the conj my class/lvl is not working due to a typo. I'll put a fix out soon.
Latent, of course there's a way . Go to window settings and set frame & titlebar to "none". (I'll have to make the checkbox in the PCC do this, it was originally for another purpose.) EDIT: Actually I had already changed the PCC and it just doesn't work. Apparently you have to set window states manually for it to save.
Anarissa, thanks for pointing out that mod, hadn't seen it yet. I quickly installed it and it's working fine for me. I saw your post on Mother's thread. You can't just delete eq2ui_mainhud.xml and replace it with mother's version, since you will break ProfitUI functionality. I don't know if that's why the Map Spoiler doesn't work for you, though.
to your eq2ui_mainhud.xml file just below the line that says
Code:
<include>eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml</include>
Oft forgotten, is this what ya forgot on Mothers? As Gm9 said, ya cant just overwrite, but if you forget the include ya get the whole blue on black thing going.
This is the best looking UI that I have seen to date for EQ2. I love the layout of the 1280x1024 .ini but I am too lazy to duplicate it in 1600x1200. I'm a balding ol' gnome looking for someone who may already have a nice 1600x1200 layout they are willing to post up
Thanks people, as I posted on Mothers forum, I solved the problem in a different way, but it's working now,and that's all that matters! If you could figure a way to incorporate it into future editions gm9, I would be eternally grateful.
But, implied target buff with con_1 seems still bugged
(con_0 and target buff show same alignment, but implied target buff with con_1 persist different alignment)
In addition, 'Frame and Titlebar' mode show only 18 buffs

Hopefully fixed in ProfitUI 2.4.1, up on the main thread.
I'll post this as a new download soon and add a changelog. Most important: I hope to have resolved all font and alignment issues. Incidentally the dotted XP font looks better now.
EDIT: Xamtin, want to share your setup for 1600x1200 so we can include it in the release?
I'll be happy to share my 1600x1200 layout; I hope everyone likes it as I moved a few of the pieces in the lower right around. I'm open to any ideas and want to keep the overall feel and intent of the UI intact; I'm never going back...this is just an amazing UI.

I must be missing something or I've been staring at my monitor too long, but I can't find the download link for this new version. Am I just overlooking it?

Maybe it sneak and wait to the changelog

One thing I noticed a while ago with this UI, but kept forgetting to mention... when you have an NPC who is initially not attackable, but then becomes attackable, due to hailing, a scripted event etc., the target window does not update to show their health/power but continues to show in the italic 'non attackable' font. See the screenshot for an example. This isn't a huge issue, just wondered if it was possible to fix it.
hmm, Hunnar, guess you've been staring at the monitor too long, the file for ProfitUI 2.4.1 is there now *runs and hides*
And RainQueen96, I know that behaviour. It happens because the UI does not know that it has to change the window setup. I guess I could update the target window once you start autoattacking.
Hello Profit Modders and Fans. Great work you are doing here. I have a question. I have stripped various peices of this UI and tweaked them rather heavily. I wish to continue to reconfigure them to not only release them for this UI but others as well. Am I allowed to just go ahead and do that. Giving proper credit of course. I'm about done consolidateing several packages and was just wondering if this sort of UI sampleing was alowed? Thanks and I hope this is allowed.
As long as you make your work available for free here no eq2interface, I don't think any author would see a problem with that. Just give credit where due. In particular, anyone can use anything I released. Just like ProfitUI contains a few interface pieces by other people as well.
