Personally I don't think I'll end up involved in your chat channel or guild so my opinion as of this point really becomes mostly irrelevant. However I'm also one of those annoying people who can't keep their mouth shut when they have a point to make, for this I apologise in advance.

You seem to be discounting Ventrilo as a possibility becasue you've had issues with two FPS games when EQ2 is clearly not a FPS game. Ventrilo however has worked fine for me and others i know on a 56k modem for both EQ and SWG. Admittedly the most we have ever had in our ventrilo server is 8 when playing those games. However I've also tested it on a pretty full WC3 vent server with no issues. Basically my argument comes down to disliking the fact people sound so strange and unclear on Roger Wilco.
