Default Several open windows when i log in

I have seen and read and tried to resolve the issue of all the open windows, when I log into the game, it did not work.
Ex: Opened Utility, scrolled to settings, Origins was in the box so I re- chose on the drop down menu and then reset files. Closed game and restarted it and ran a file scan, but the windows are still there along with stats not staying on my bottom tool bar.
I did this 3xs.
This happens on ALL my toons and I have 2 accts with a total of 10 toons on the Anashti Sul server. Not sure where to go from here. I have got to where I make the windows as small as possible and put them all together in the upper left side of my screen. After closing these windows on all 10 of my toons and resetting the stats on my toolbar at least 5xs each, it got old. I was hoping there might be a fix in an update but have not seen any.

Type /loadui and see if there are multiple DarqUI's listed. If so you'll want to remove all but one of them. Also in the utility on the Files page make sure the path in the first slot matches the path to your Origins game installation. Otherwise, if you've reset your files for Origins you've done everything needed to save DarqUI settings correctly in-game.

Default As usual I admit when I goof up

I did the /loadui and only saw 1 Darq in there, so I went into my Origins file and found 2 copies of the DarqUI, one I had copied and made an Origins folder, the other was the original Darqui before Origins. I made sure I had that original in my regular EQ2 files and I did have it there also. So I deleted the one in the Origins file and now my windows that are always open when I log in, are all
Staying closed once I close them and all my stats are now staying saved on my toolbar. So that fixed it,, Yayyyy! Thanks for your patience and help, ura peach!

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a new computer running Windows 11.
The game directory is located outside of the Program Files folders:
C:\Games\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II

I don't use a couple of windows and would like to disable them — "Icon Bar" and "Stat Monitor". However, turning them off does not persist between sessions.

I mostly play support classes, so it's very important for me to customize the temporary effects and/or protections in "GroupMembers Window" and "Raid Window". Unfortunately, changes I make to those UI elements are also not being saved.

I read in one of the threads that it’s good to check for multiple DarqUI instances using the /loadui command — I only see one DarqUI.
Additionally, I followed your advice to reset files on Settings Server Type.
Since this is a brand-new computer that I received just a few days ago, there shouldn’t be any duplicates, but I ran a full scan of the drives just in case — no duplicates were found.

Unfortunately, none of this has helped resolve the issue.
I would really appreciate any help or suggestions you could provide.

You can remove the Icon Bar and Stat Monitor components permanently. Check for updates with the DarqUI utility and scroll down to Icon Bar. Right-click and Delete. Do the same for Stat Monitor, then restart the game.

There are a number of reasons why a DarqUI setting might not be "sticking" between sessions. When you make a change with the in-game Window Manager, make sure you click the small Save button that appears, and click the OK confirmation popup for each and every change that is saved.

If you log out to Character Select, and then back in on the same character, recent changes won't appear to be saved. The trigger to load DarqUI settings is when the character name changes. Logging out to Character Select and then back in on the same character doesn't change the name, so your recent changes will seem to be missing.

There are three ways to correct for this. 1) Log out to a different character and then back to the current character. In this case the character name changes, so DarqUI settings from the current session will be loaded. 2) Log all the way out of the game and back in. 3) Use the /loadui command and choose DarqUI from the list that appears. After using /loadui you will need to zone once to settle certain parts of the UI that /loadui fails to display properly.

If your changes are still not saving, go back to the Settings tab of the utility and check the server type dropdown. Choose the correct server type and then click the Reset files button, even if the dropdown already showed the correct server type. Log back in and try changing one setting, then check to see if it "sticks" by using one of the three methods shown above.

Also don't forget that you can make changes from within the utility for almost all settings. Switch the utility to Component Mode and select a character and component to configure. You can see what that looks like on this page.

Please post again if your changes are still not saving.

Sorry for the late reply to your comment.
I assumed I had limited permissions to modify files in the game directory, so I reassigned myself as the owner of the game directory. I also removed all "read-only" flags from all directories, subdirectories, and files related to the game. Then I used the "Reset Files" on the Settings Server Type once again. And it worked — I was able to disable the automatic opening of the "Icon Bar" and "Stat Monitor" windows, which I don’t use, and I customized the "GroupMembers Window" and "Raid Window" according to my preferences.
Now all settings are saved between sessions, and everything works perfectly the way I need it to.
Thank you so much for your attention and for everything you do for the gaming community.
