Can We Improve Site Buttons?

Love the site overall but I gotta say you've got some of the most difficult to spot and read forum buttons I've ever seen.

I'd like to submit this sample as something to consider for a button update. Took me all of 5 min with Photshop's Hue/Saturation and Levels adjustments to tweak one of your existing buttons. I could batch proccess them all in about 15min
