Bigger maps?

Im new to EQ2 and to EQ2MAPs - which is a great mod!

However, I often have trouble picking out the little icons on the map and am wondering if there is a way to make it bigger. Id like to see at least 2x if not even more.

Sony has a new map system in the works thats planned to be released soon after their expansion Rise of Kunark. It will have much larger maps and a mini map.

The system in place now can not dynamically resize maps and if we made the maps any larger people running lower/medium resolutions would have problems with the map being way too big.
