Default Need a target window for color blind

I have a friend who is color blind and is unable to see the con colors of a mob. He also finds it difficult to tell if the target is aggressive since the highlighted text blends together for him. I remember when i used to play EQOA for PS2 they had face icons to represent how the target reacts to you. It would show a red angry face for aggro, blue happy face for Ally, and white smirk for indifferent. I was wondering if something similar could be done for EQ2. As for color coding, I'm not sure how to approach that. Probably a scale system like this?

grey = [X--+---]
green = [-X-+---]
blue = [--X+---]
white = [---X---]
yellow = [---+X--]
orange = [---+-X-]
red = [---+--X]

I know a little about XML and have made my own mods but I'm wondering how to do this or if anyones done it before. I dread ever taking him to EQ1 since he cant even see the levels there hehe.

Nobody have a idea? I've tried to explain to him the distance levels that separate the colors. I still find him attacking grays and oranges when it's just him and me... 2 mages against a orange ^^^ heroic... Not fun. :P

Hmm... well the description of the encounter can be used to determine con. I don't remember the exact wording but a green for instance may say some thing like "you can defeat this creature easily" whereas an orange says something like "it will almost certainly defeat you". The text is consistant based on con I believe. You can see it by targetting the creature and then hovering your mouse over the target window. A little unwieldy maybe but hope it helps you a bit!

A mod isn't necessary; you can change the con colors in your options. Just go to Options > User Interface > Game Colors and scroll down to find "Con Too Easy," "Con Easy," "Con Mild Challenge," "Con Even," "Con Tough," "Con Very Tough," and "Con Extremely Tough." Your friend can change these to whatever colors he likes.

Also, in Options > User Interface > Name and Chat Bubble > NPC Evaluation, if you choose "Simple (Frames)," you'll see the mob's actual level in a circle to the left of its name over its head when you target it. You can still see how many arrows it has and whether or not it's heroic in the target window.

As far as changing the "aggressive" outline around a mob's name, I haven't found anything in the options that will allow you to do this. When you mouseover the target window, though, you'll see a tooltip that tells you whether or not a mob will attack you when you are in its aggro range. Any mobs that say or "This creature scowls at you, ready to attack!" will attack; any other messages (threatening [an aggressive mob that's greyed out?], indifferent, ally) will not.

To break down the tooltip, you'll see the info in this order:

Mob Name (mob level)
Health: percent%
Whether this mob is soloable or heroic
How difficult this mob will be for you to defeat
How this mob regards you (scowls, threatening, indifferent, ally)
A textual estimate of how defeating this mob will benefit you

Have you considered asking him to let you select and pull the mobs the two of you will be fighting together?

Thanks guys. I hope it's possible to change the border colors for aggressive mobs. Thats one of the problems since to him the red tends to mix with some of the other colors. I wrote up a short instruction on what you said would help. Hopefully he can fix it how he likes it. Hes not doing too bad though. Hes already at level 35 (with a little of my help mentoring).
