I got the map mod, and it works fine.. its all the icons on there that tell me were everything is.. its ruining the game for me .. the maps are fine i just dont wanna see were everything is b4 i find it myself?

Is there away of keeping the maps but loosing the icons?

yes, there is a plugin that you can get to toggle the display of the icons. you should be able to find it with teh search feature of the forum. search the eq2map forum.
