Default trouble with Vista install of eq2 maps

Hello...I'm sure you all have heard this one before , but i am having trouble installing eq2 maps on my Vista Home Premium operating system. I have another computer with Windows XP and works great, so i must assume it is Vista.

Here are the problems i am having:

First it does not launch eq2 after update, but i think i solved that problem under options of the eq2 maps updater. I changed the path to the eq2 run file, that correct?

Second i finally got the updater to update the maps, but when i log into eq2 the maps have not been implemented. It still has the original maps.

Any help on this problem will be forever appreciated!

Kelly

Make sure the installation of EQ2 that you are actually playing with is the one that the updater is installing to. With the new patchers, its very common for folks to have multiple installs without even knowing it.

Check the target of the shortcut you use to launch EQ2 (right click > properties) to make sure the path is the same as what the updater is using.

If you did change the run path , then most likely the eq2 installation path should be changed to ( the top field).

What should the path be in the first field?

Thank you

The bottom field should be Everquest 11.exe....so what should the top field lead to? The UI folder?

The top field should be everquest2 install folder, but you have to select everquest2.exe , this way the user can't select the wrong folder as you won't find everquest2.exe anywere else

The bottom filed should be eq2.exe or you will skip the patcher.
This is if you use the normal installer and not Stationlauncher or the streaming client.
