You have to down load an app that will handle .rar files. IDK why he chose to rar it and not zip that every one has.. /shrug

I think the OP is having troubles on where to place the ui files and how to activate it.

If I recall correctly, there are installation instructions on the down load page.
http://www.eq2interface.com/download...AttackBar.html

and in addition

If you already have a custom UI add the fallowing to your eq2ui_Custom.xml file above the first </Page>

<include>Razc_Attack.xml</include>

He does not have a custom UI, all he needs to do is extract everything into his Everquest two folder.

Yea I was pretty much exclusive .rar user aslo until I started dealing with the common computer user. I found it best to use the .zip format as any one with a windows box has it.

Ok If you have The mapupdater then you should already have a custom.xml file in your EQ2 ui default folder. You need to cut and paste everything from the download one to the old one already there but if its not there then you will be able to just place the eq2custom.xml,basicly replacing your old eq2 custom.xml with the one downloaded. with the other 2 files, Iv simply just moved them into the UI folder with all the XML's are loc at it works like a charm now to get used to it

No, EQ2MAP does not use eq2ui_custom.xml, if you only use EQ2MAP you should not even have that file.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

I've found that if I have the auto attack on then the maps for eq2map updater all disappear.

Anyone know why this happenes?

My eq2.ini reads:

cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname Razc

There is your problem. You cannot have two skins at the same time.

Delete the first line and then run the autoupdater. It should install the auto attack bar into your EQ2MAP folder and remove the second cl_ui_skinname line and then you should have both.

Default Still dont get it

Hi, I would like to get my auto attack mod to work but I just cant seem to. I also have only EQ2Maps.

The only EQ2UI_Cutom I can find is under "default" so I have modified that. My EQ2.ini just has...

cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/

and I dropped in the folder named Razc with a file in it (Razc_Attack.xml) into theEQ2MAP directory, in the UI subdirectory, anywhere I could think of. But nothing..

Where does the window display, as it may be behind a window I already have?

Any help appreciated

Default Got it!

Aaaahhhh!!! Now I got it...

The only MOd I already had was EQ2Maps; So, even if you already have EQ2Maps, it is fine. Just extract this UI element to Sony\Everquest, overwrite everyting (yup seems weird).

Then run the EQ2Maps auto-updater and it must read the new ini file and re-adds itself under the NEW UI that the extraction makes (so EQ2Maps redownloads all its info to UI\Razc.

So you end up with Sony\Everquest\UI\Razc\Eq2map2

Woot and it works like a charm now

Thanks, way better than listening to constant dings

That works, although it would be preferable if you simply copied the eq2ui_custom.xml and the Razc_Attack.xml into your EQ2MAP folder, that way you do not need to download all of EQ2MAP again.
