Default I have a problem with the UIbuilder

Hello guys,
Im not sure whether this is the right place to post my concern or not but i decided to give it a try.
I tried to modify a recently working maintained.xml file but there is something strange going on. If i load the original file with the uibuilder and change just one very small and unimportant detail like the width of the amountremaining message of frame 10 from 25 to 23 , the whole maintained window will no longer work.
If i save this small change the size of the file changes from 23kb to 29kb.

Is anyone able to give me an advice how to solve the prob ?

You might want to find a Comparison program (BeyondCompare is what I use), to see what other data is changing. Double check you are using the most up-to-date UIBuilder zip and see if that changes anything.

I know sometimes the UIBuilder can save things like a Volume page with strange outcomes.

I downloaded your prog to compare the files. Then i downloaded the newest uibuilder via the eq2 updater. next i opened my maintained.xml and immediately saved it without any changes. The result is a size change from 23kb to 30kb and lots of changes as i can see with your program. Why is the uibuilder doing this ? and what can i do to avoid the unwanted changes ?

left side is the original, right side is the copy, red lines are the unwanted changes the uibuilder made.

PS: Are you guys using the uibuilder too to create your mods ? are you having the same issues ?

the uibuilder is always gonna put in the location packsize and other info that may or may not be needed when you manually edit a file. Some info isn't required to function. Such things as cellpadding etc.

This is why you are getting a different file size.

and what can i do to work with this program ? the uibuilder is making so many changes. Takes lot of time to find and undo them. Cause if keep the changes of the uibuilder the xml file is no longer working.
Is that really the way the uibuilder works ? ****ing up the xmls with lots of unwanted stuff til the files are no longer working ?
I remember last year i was editing some files with no problem. But now everything seems to be broken.
Is this how you guys work with the uibuilder ? work on some xmls and next step is to find all the changes the uibuilder made and undo them ?

Personally I never let UIBuilder save any files if it happens that it can actually help me with something.

Yeah, I see you got your problem fixed.

But what it's doing is saving things that are defaults that are gonna need to be defined in game. In a Volume control pages need a min/max height otherwise they'll adjust and overlap.
Scrollsize is usually the same as size unless it's a scrolling page.

In UIBuilder there's a button you click click that will show all default values (ones that only get saved if they are not default) and go through the list and find what's changing from your old version.

That is... if you haven't already figure that out
