Ya i'm a retard.... redid it with Inventory.Bank instead of inventory.bank and it now shows contents.

Hehe, my first post on this forum, donning my +5 flame resistant tunic of woe.

Unfortunately it seems to be the nature of some gamers to find a convenient little exploit and find a way to abuse it. (There are some pretty industrous people out there) While this seems pretty handy (I can think of lots of times I'd want to see my bank contents or check the market) I could also see how it could lessen the online experience.... unless you enjoy games that don't make you actually have to do a little extra legwork.

On the issue of not addressing problems and nerfing. Having a brief stint working on a MMORPG, I would guess there are many issues that the folks looking at the forums would like to get fixed or atleast have a answer, but fall on deaf ears from the higher ups. Seems to me they are doing something as I see almost daily updates. Many peeps (including myself) have issues, which to them are high priority...but are low on the to-do list for the devs. As nerfing goes, there are often many factors involved that aren't evident to the casual player... I'm pretty sure they don't sit down and try to figure out how to upset the community by nerfing something.

I do think its pretty flippin cool that SOE lets users tweak and mod thier interface though... But I don't have to tell you guys that

I agree that SOE isn't sitting back there wringing their hands in an evil fashion while thinking up the next way to screw their customers - but I also think that very few people would complain if they put all development on hold for a few weeks and put their focus on fixing the myriad of little bugs that plague their customers.

The simple fact is... it's not going to happen that way. It's not.

...it would be nice to fix everthing before they move on
I'm sure they have projected times for implimenting stuff and they want to keep on schedule (if they actually are on schedule). I do see alot of bug fixes and tweaks almost daily though.

To equate this down to the simpliest form, there's more money in expansions than there is in bug fixes.

HOwever, they have been pretty good about handling most bugs and keeping the nerf bat under control compared to some of their various other software titles.

More money perhaps, but again I point to DAoC - the customer loyalty to Mythic because of their continued great support for that game is incomparible.

Hell, I don't even play DAoC anymore, but I've had an ongoing account with them since the release of the game. I can't bring myself to cancel it because the game is so well done - I go back and spend 6 months playing it every now and then. Plus they come out with expansions every year or so - expansions that only cost about 19.99. Then every expansion, they'll put out a package deal that includes the original game plus all the expansions, for what, 29.99?

Beat that, SOE.

But yeah, I'm loving EQ2 so far - I'm giving SOE the chance to win my loyalty. We'll see.

They definately have some kind of schedule. They even claimed to have their plans "mapped out" to go up to level 200 or something like that "if" they ever went that high. That's a pretty good ways into the future if it ever happens. I would have to say Kudos to that.

Well SOE will be releasing Adventure Packs in March that cost only $4.99 (free for those who are Station Access holders) that are mini expansions... So there's something to look forward too...

I've never even heard of Mythic, haha.

*edit* also, you say beat that? You see how many people play, and how many buy their expansions. I wouldn't call them dumb for making better profit, lol.

I'm not sure if I care if this command is removed... I mean, its kinda silly don't you think. "I was walking through the sweltering heat of the steppes as I conjured my bank statement in mid-air and perused the rune of death..." Ya, kinda ruins the mood.

The broker portion of this command isnt working for me anyone have any ideas? I double checked and I am doing /show_window Inventory.Market. It brings up the window but will not search.

Thanks ahead of time.

From LU10 notes :
Quote:
- You can no longer scribe, equip, attune, or destroy items in your bank unless you are talking to a banker.
That is officialy the final nerf for the bank show windows command, but I am glad they let you see the content of your bank, still

And the Market nerf was done several LU ago, but it was a ninja nerf.
