Default Fetish resets to default UI each log in

I have used the search function and poured through a lot of posts. I cannot find a solution to this problem.

My wife and I switched to this UI today from DB's, obviously followed the instructions, etc. I am sure its an easy fix I just dont know what it is.

I noticed the first login after install I was still in DB's UI. So, I closed the client and uninstalled that mod. I also checked to ensure the fetish folder extracted properly into EQII/UI and it was there so I thought nothing more about it and logged back into the game. I am in default UI and use /loadui to load the fetish mod. Worked fine until logging out and in and having to repeat that process each time.

Again, everything seems to be working fine its just that everytime you log out you have to /loadui and then go through the entire process of placing your windows where you want them. I admit I am not a PC guru but this is not something I have come across before after installing a UI mod. Please help I am sure it is deleting a file or some such /easyfix.

The UI looks great, there are some perks I look forward to in this mod I havent had in others, and once I can figure this out I look forward to using it regulary.

Can you open your eq2.ini file from your Everquest II folder in Notepad or any other text editor and tell us what it says?

What folders do you see in the UI folder?

Try putting this in the eq2.ini file

cs_maxcameradistance 60
cl_movie_enabled 0
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname FetishNightfall

then saving that to Everquest2 folder.

These two are redundant btw, the second one has been the default setting of eq2 for a while now and the first one can be set via options->controls->view distance since GU38 (and 35 is the max).

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

True, on the movie part. But on the max camera distance part, having a much higher number there will allow you to zoom out further should they chose to allow you, and in my experience with the past the slider has been a much less reliable determinant of the true max distance.
