Default DreamUI Pieces (BETA!)

Okay, I've been using these for a while now and I think they're ready for beta!

I think I've got them all zipped properly, but if the images don't work, make sure to put the graphics file (uieles_merge2.dds) in the images directory.

I've got mods for:
-Compass
-Experience
-Group window
-Casting (oops, forgot that in the screenshot, but it's like the exp bar)
-stat strip (based on insom's stat strip)

This was all done for 1152x864+, but the only one that might not work in smaller (1024x768) is the stat strip.

See the screenshot for how everything looks. (Except the casting, forgot that in the screen cap)

Just curious if anyone's been using these? I do know the group window I was using was bugged, but I don't know if that's what I uploaded or a change I did after uploading. If anyone's using it or wants to, I'll upload the fixed one. Still haven't been able to get the char class images to work right, though.

Wow, never saw this post first time around.
I really like that XP bar! It jumps out and awes me

The group window is so-so, but too block-ish or something lol. I'd say keep working on it if you wanted to do a complete set. It's looking very nice so far.

One thing I noticed, because I was trying to look it up myself was the group member's level display.

It seems you used "/GameData.Group.Group_1.Level" for each groupmember, but maybe I'm mistaken on the use of it? Just kind of wandering, because I was trying to figure out if this DynamicData is available.

You are correct -- that's the bug I mentioned. I've fixed it at home and need to update it here.

I also really like the nice scrollwork. Was considering using the group window for it but prefer my group windows horizontal rather than vertical. Is it resizeable that way? If not, think I could talk ya into a Horizontal version?

Van -- it would look much like the stats page for the scrollwork, but sure I could do that. I'll upload that when I upload the fix for the verticle one.

Xzandr -- Somewhere on eq2interface are instructions for installing any custom UI pieces. Do you have any customs installed yet, including eq2maps?

I'll see if I can upload the fixed group window (and put together a horizontal one for Van) tonight. If not, then this weekend.

BTW, how does a piece get moved from Beta to release?

I'm also working on a new layout with a Celtic theme

I have eq2maps loaded but it runs from a seperate folder all together. I run the program before i log on and then shut it down.

If you have eq2maps as your mainui, you can just unzip this stuff into that folder.

Okay, here's the updated and corrected group window. Still haven't gotten the archetype icons to work, so they're just not there.

I am still using the default UI that came with game. EQ2MAP is just the updater program, not a UI or anything like that.

In your ui directory, do you have an eq2maps directory?

When install EQ2Map, your basically installing a custom UI. It creates it's own subfolder in your UI folder, and creates/modifies your eq2.ini to set that as your main UI.

Note that just because it's only maps, it's still a custom UI. 1 new or changed file makes it custom pretty much. Whatever isn't in your custom UI folder, is automatcally read from default.

So, therefor, you have default UI windows, but still using a custom UI

Okay, then unzip these into the eq2maps folder. Make sure that the .dds file is in the images subfolder of the eq2maps folder.

That's all there is to it!

Ty for the help. Is the status bar on the bottom (where mine is) suppose to show all the way from character select? It's rather cool if it is. =)

By Chance, is there anyone here that can Update the Experience bar for this set. I really enjoy it and would hate to go back to the default.

Thanks
