Default Fetish Bagstrip crash problem?

Is there a known problem with the fetish bagstrip? I was working on a bug today and found that if I drag an icon to the bagstrip, it crashes the client.

Looking at the code, it doesn't appear that this could have ever worked properly. I can fix the crash for GU38, but trying to get drag/drop to work for that custom window would be a little more difficult.

That bug is in all modded windows that use the same type of bag inventory items in it. You can right click no prob, ie: consume food etc. But if you actually try to equip to it, drag an item to the slot, yes it crashes. My mod does the same thing. Mine has the prim, secondary, food, drink, ammo, and 6th bag slots in it. Clicking no problem, but equiping = crash. SO Fetish is not the only mod that does this, I am sure amny others do as well.

Now that I think of it, could you tell us any more about the Icon object?

They've always been pretty much a mystery without any documentation. In most windows they seem to just be hard-coded.

In the pet window the Icons have:
ActionData="command petAttack" IconID="12"
for example.

In the maintained spells window they have:
ActionData="maintained_spell" DynamicData="/GameData.Maintained.Spell_1.Icon"
for properties.

When I originally made my examine window mod I added the
Dragable="True"
property to the icon and, magically, you could drag the icon into the macro window to copy it there. That stopped working when the Dressing Room came though.

I've fixed the issue with drag-and-drop to the bag strip window. You can now drag items to it just fine and it won't crash. However, you cannot drag out of it. This could probably be fixed with more time, but since this wasn't really my primary bug, I didn't spend much time on it. I'll try to look at it after GU38 is out and I have the appearance item changes behind me.

As far as icons go, the action data really depends on the type of icon and how it is used. You're right that the code makes a lot of assumptions about how an icon is used. Unfortunately, its not as simple as dropping an icon in, setting some properties and you get a specific behavior.

However, if you have more specific questions or issues you're trying to overcome, let me know and I'll be glad to try to help.
