Default Map POI Icons

Hi there!

I need a little help. You see my resolution is at 1600x 1024 and Im having a terrible time seeing the map Poi's and other icons. I tried downloading the 12x12 alternates but it did not seem to change them any and using the defaults makes it even smaller.
I have 3 files that I downloaded but Im not sure if Im installing them in the "correct" order or if there is an order to them.
the files are:

Alternate POIIcons.zip
Alternate POIIcons-12x12.zip
Alternate POIIcons-Indivdualgroupmembers.zip

I extract them to this directory

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\EQ2MAP

I was wondering if maybe even they are just too small with my resolution and if that is the case if there is a larger size somewhere that I haven't found.
Thank you in advance, for any help you can give!

Lexi

actually you need to place the .dds file in the Icons subfolder within your custom ui folder.

So if you are using EQ2Map as your custom folder, you would need to place it here:

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\EQ2MAP\Icons

or is it here?...

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\EQ2MAP\Images\Icons

Bah, now I've got myself all befuddled . I'd actually check if I wasn't at work. Oh well. It's one of those.

hmmm Maybe I should mention I already have a custom UI folder (it's Thor's) so Im still a bit confused...does it go in

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\THORUI\EQ2Map

OR

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\THORUI\Images\Icons

The latter is where I placed the .dds file yet the Icons did not change in shape or in size.

I just added in the files from the other 2 zips and placed them in the following dir

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\thorui\eq2map

Im going to test it now and see if I have any changes.

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\THORUI\Images\Icons

is where it the file icon_map3.dds needs to go. You need to restart EQ2 for this to take effect.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

Thanks guys!
I got the icons working and although still a bit smaller than I would like, at least I don't need a magnifying glass now!
