I've no idea what might have happened, but it's gotta be on your side, 'cause the download doesn't include the old files. Heck, I don't even have the old files anywhere on my computer any more!

Ok, I could really use some help here as I have no idea how to get this thing to load. I have read all the install guides and have other things working fine but not Info Center.
Right now I have EQ2MAP, HimaysStartBar, Milquetowst_Clock_and_Compass, Milquetowst_Info_Center, Milquetowst_Quest_Journal.
The only two I am having problems with would be the info center and the start bar. I have read through this thread and dont really see anything relating to the problem I am having but I can say I have tried doing that one tip to the mainhud file and I double check all my other steps.
Maybe I am just missing something and there is a hotkey I need to use to open the window.. I am lost.

Just checking. Did you follow these instructions?
Installation is simple: Unzip the eq2ui_journals_infocenter.xml and eq2ui_journals.xml files, and the "infocenter" folder (with its various subfolders), into your custom UI folder.
(If you don't already have a custom UI folder, then you need to create one and tell the game to use it. Instructions for doing so can be found elsewhere on this site.)
Once you're in the game, you can call up the info center any time you like by typing "/show_window Journals.InfoCenter" (or by creating a macro to do it for you).

Found an ommission
Greetings - I discovered that there is a missing item in the monk skill list:
Lev. 62 - Flailing Centipede - flurry of melee attacks *upgrade Lunging Mongoose.47*
the monk board has a very nice list of skills on the boards at:
http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/e...cending&page=1
it not only lists them by level - but also includes a note whenever a new skill is an upgrade to an old one - I've plugged it in to my own copy of Info Center and use it constantly.
thanks again for a fantastic mod - dont know how I ever played without it !

Windows XP has a built in decompresser, you shouldn't have to download anything. But if you feel the need to, WinZip would work, but there are free ones out there that does just as good or better then WinZip IMHO.

Hmm Mr. DBurgdorf <wink>
Could your fans that are having problems with the German verson possably be running Linux? There is an existing problem with the German version of Opera (not the talk show host) ver 8.5 and before that limits XML text files. This has been corrected in Opera v9.0, they can find some info here
http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=67025
Hope this helps some of your fans..
BTW great mod and no problems with it so far ( knocks on a piece of ebony)
Darn it, you updated again... grrrr

Im sure this has been asked before , but I'll be "that guy" and ask again haha. I downloaded the most recent version of info center and the window pops up fine in game... all categories are there but there is nothing written in any of em. It seems like maybe i dont have the files with data to fill the window in right place, any ideas... Thanks

Unzip
right click and you should see the windows zip feature allowing you to unzip it, or you need to add something like pkzip, winrar or some other compression technique prgram. then right click an select unzip. good luck!

if you're not using XP, you won't get the built-in zip/unzip... i don't think w2k nor win9x came with it...
i would suggest picking up a shareware copy of WinRAR from www.rarlab.com since it is an excellent compression/decompression tool. here's a quick step-by-step for you..
1. download and install winrar from www.rarlab.com
2. make sure the milquetowst info center.zip file is in your custom UI directory or folder
3. right click on milquetowst info center.zip, select the WinRAR submenu, and choose Extract Here.
hope this helps

hey again deb... i'm retarded and thought this was the eXtreme market mod and not infocenter lol.. eXtreme got a ninja update, but not infocenter. sorry about the confusion... you could just edit the files yourself for now... hope darryll sees this soon, though chances are he'll update it when GU27 hits live.

I haven't been playing much recently -- a lot of time's been taken up by my new boyfriend and by the need to download/rip lots of tracks for my new MP3 player -- and I never got around to updating the Info Center at all after GU26. But the pelt names were upated back in June, along with other info relevant to the updated tradeskilling system, so you're apparently dealing with old text files.
(And by the way, I will make sure to update things after GU27 goes live, since it looks like that will contain a lot more than GU26 did.)

Harvest Info Corrections
I LOVE this mod. It is essential to my play.
But (there is always a but), I noticed recently, when I was micro-checking the harvest list, a couple of things needing correction.
There are still acorns listed in the Tier 3 stuff, and they were removed.
The Tier 6 common pelt is Stonehide, not Boiled.
In Tier 5, Strange Black Ore should be listed with the rares.
Thanks so much for taking the time to keep this wonderful resource working. We all appreciate it, even though we may not say so often, or loudly, enough.

Reason: P.S. If I knew how to do the corrections myself, I would, since they are so minor. But I would probably just break something else.

I love, love, love this UI! My entire guild is quickly becoming addicted!
I notice the latest version has deleted the TIWIKE section - is this a bad time to note that I've been overhauling the entire thing for an update? Would you be interested in having the updated files? There's a couple things I need to verify, but most of them are done.
