ROFL.. I never tested the run app, run code after moving it out of the EverQuest tab. lol.. will check to see what is going on.

Also converting ever thing that could possibly be an extended char to html safe. Yes GM9 ' also.. :P

Na I didn't change it because he said any thing, Just didn't look right with all my things on the same line. So I put each one it's own line. I did change eXtremeUI's coloring because of him.

According to gm9 I used orange for extreme when I don't even like the color orange because he used it. Guessing he maybe correct, I can't come up with any other reason. I'm starting to think he is Borg! If he start putting cubes in his UI then we will know for sure.

Guessing I should add a tooltip field for all the C2C.../sigh

Btw, the drago version does not have all the extended char conversions for script, just the basic HTML tag. That'll come in the Borg9

version.

Tested on my home system, first without a proxy

Start the app. EQ2I News tab does not try to connect anywhere
Enable eq2map and interfaces. Edit: Change UI path
interfaces tab still tells you the wrong path in the right pane "file will be installed at" is the old path
restarting the app sets the correct path until you change it again
It says it will install Milquetowst InfoCenter directly into the \UI path, not in the customUI folder. When installing, it nevertheless puts it into the correct folder
Updating a UI does not work because it stores the update files without the dot between name.ext, e.g. 4277zip insteal of 4277.zip. Tested with several UIs, same error for all of them.
no idea what the dropdown below the auto-update UI checkbox is for, I could not get it to populate with anything
now enabling proxy settings works for EQ2MAP tab!
eq2i news tab still does not try to connect anywhere, neither direct nor proxy
interfaces tab ignores proxy settings and always tries direct connect and gives error message when that is blocked
eq2.ini received a "Modified by EQ2 Companion" line although except for that line nothing was modified.

I always disable that while testing so i don't hammer Dolby's server over and over and over and over and over when i run, stop , run, stop.

Nice list though some good info in there. Also glad EQ2MAP proxy now works.

Question?
When selecting a file in the filetree of the UIs that do not include the eq2c.xml file, Should it:

A. Stay like it is.
B. Show a real description? I could build a internal database that would give basic info what a window was for when it was highlighted.
example User selected then eq2ui_mainhud.mainchat.xml file, it would display "This window is used for all chat windows"

I thought so about the news tab, just mentioning it because previous builds had it enabled.

Description is cool if you want to do that.

Is it the new station launcher?!?!?!

woot i love it.

EDIT: Set the Station Launcher to

"C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Station Launcher\LaunchPad.exe" --game EQ2

so that it launches EQ2 automatically for you instead of you having to click it yourself

like my spam gm9?!?! muahaha

it launches to the station launcher but it doesn't start the everquest 2 portion of it, you have to click it yourself

Now if you X out or do not accept the user agreement it will ask it again on subsequential runs
Connection retries has a max value of 10 now.
Connection time out has a max of 3 min.
Proxy support should be fully implemented now. Yea I said that before huh?
Tab order in Quick Character switch has been reordered to flow better.
Quick Character switch now refers to account instead of username.
You now have the option to add a header for dropdowns or not for lists in Quick Character switch.
Key Char ' is now converted.
It will no longer try to run the fist app on the Run App list over and over.
The correct path will now be shown in the description/info pain in the UI tab when a file is selected.
When updating UI's it will now save using a correctly formated filename.
Adding data to the dropdown in the UI tab until I get time to create code for it.
Station Launcher now opens up to EQ2.

Did I miss any thing that needed looked into?

No clue what you are trying to tell me here.
I can't reproduce this results, Maybe I had already fixed in the version I was testing with.
It does not save changes or it changes Modified .. even though nothing has changed?

BTW: The news will not display anything..

The interface page not displaying is by design ATM. I know it works, but while we are testing I am going to keep it disabled so it will not hammer This site for page requests.

Yup the Borg stuff is pretty much a private joke between Landiin and myself that started in this thread - even though I changed my avatar, my user title and my sig, noone even commented on that. And you should check Landiin's title as well.

Feature report:

Proxy code works.

Bug report:

file paths still show incorrect on the Interface tab for any UI that contains a folder but no UI folder.
file paths still show incorrect for all interfaces on the Interface tab after changing your UI path
updating any UI fails for an unhandled error about the .zip being used by another process - that process is in fact EQ2C itself, as I verified with ProcessExplorer
Check your encoding, something went terribly wrong there (it seems to do multiple passes...). Applies to all tabs that save code to xml files.

The only way I can reproduce this is if I happen to have a file selected and it already has the path displayed. Once I click on a new file it reflects the changed/correct path.

Fixed but that introduces another issues.. ' is not considered a char that needs to be encoded by XML or HTML. None of the parser I use (MS xml, open xml or Xerces XML) encodes '. But if I encode it then it encodes the & of &apos. I'll try to open a dialog with one of the UI devs on this.
