installing interface with new launcher/eq2 exec

I managed to mess up my eq2 game folder and on the instructions of a SONY CS rep installed their 'new' launch pad & reinstalled the game. I have slavishly followed your instructions for installing downloads in order to use your journal interface. Nothing works. As far as I can tell it does not even see the eq2.ini config file (in the EverQuestII folder) that points to the "momsui" folder (in the UI folder). The new EverQuestII folder now contains a config file labeled eq2_recent.ini that seems to be (automatically?) updated every day - I don't remember seeing that before but don't know that my memory is all that good. Any suggestions? Please? I'm completely lost without the wiki and zam buttons on my quest helper
