Brammator's map is much more accurate as far as the thickness of the hedge maze walls. And the 'light' variant is MUCH easier on the eyes than the other choices.

Yeah, despite it not quite matching the actual color, I voted for readability in the end. The other ones are just too much gray tones.
so we can have the read ability and the hedge thicknesses, and then the several areas that are marked as blocked paths or doorways or??) I havent been there so not sure what they ARE but I like the easier seen green ones to the light shaded on that item, and then the light tan map is easiest to read, but the thicker hedges is nicer to see than thinner lines, and then steps leading up to each is better than a dark building without steps.. so, each had many things that make it nice, but a combination would be best of all.. any chance at that, since all the work has been done, perhaps one of the artists can make a few changes?
I'd have to vote for the easier to read map if I had to choose, but I like a lot about the other too, and well, hmm.. modifications anyone please?
I agree that at first the tan map is easier to read, HOWEVER, after a couple of minutes it puts strain on the eyes. Having been through the zone and planning on going through it several times live I dont think the tan map is going to be a good option.
Given that statement I like the detail of the spooky map but agree the accuracy of hedge thickness is better in Lyssia's. Tough choice but had to vote for the detail of spooky at this point.
Yeah, I had to go with Brammator "light" but all 3 are excellent and it was a tough choice! I'm gonna give both of ya's 5 bananas!!!

I go with the light map, because with the thin lines and the light style it's the best to use ingame for me.

At the risk of muddying the waters here, I took the comments above to heart and modified my map, lightening the background a bit and adding steps to the buildings. I posted the modified map with and without shadows added in the original map thread here.
Sorry about doing this so close to the end of the poll, but I just found the poll less than an hour ago.

Looks great. However, we discussed this briefly among the team and came to the conclusion to make Brammator's version available via the EQ2MAP updater now since it won the poll and since most people seemed to favor the light coloring anyway.
Hope to see more great maps from both of you in the future, and thanks everybody for voting!
No problem - and as long as the thread is still there, anyone who wants a different version (mine OR brammator's others) can always dload it manually, rename it to match the one they get through the patcher, and replace the map that the patch dloads.
Doesn't matter who wins as long as new maps are made as the zones are added to the game. Nice map, btw Bram!

For your map they will also need to add your XML to \eq2map2\_User_MapStyles.xml which should (hopefully) override the default.
