Possible to always display enemy names overhead?

I believe the fade-off with distance is not something we can control to extend it to show the names far out.

You can make monsters/NPCs always have their names show up, but it will fade with distance. It's the same for both, and probably the one you already found:
Options > User Interface > Name and Chat Bubble > Show Names for NPCs > Always.
