Yep, that's part of the work around. The other two parts are:

1. if unchecking the box doesn't work then switch to the World Map tab then back to the Current Zone tab and they should be working at that point.

2. if you don't have a Fog Checkbox then follow the added instructions, in the link above, on how to enable the box.
