Another place to look would be to make sure that your modem / router has permission to download from the server and has permission to access your hard drive with the downloaded material.

Essentially, the intall / update is being blocked on your end.

EDIT: Another thing that you could try is to delete the entire EQ2MAP folder and re-install. Sometime a fresh installation will solve these types of problems.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled and it still does it, so that's not it.
I also don't have different windows user accounts. When I reboot it goes straight into windows.
As for the modem/router....we have cable internet and I don't know the first thing about the router other than it splits off to 2 other pc's.

Any other suggestions?
