Default Removing all POI's

I have used EQ2map for a long time, almost since I started EQ2, but I love this mod, very useful. I know that you have the ablity to turn off the POI's but every time I zone or click on world map and come back they are all turned on. I was wondering if there was a way to just install just the acual maps and not the POIs. So I would have just the new custom maps with no POI's added on them. If anyone knows if this is possible or how to do it, please do tell.

The easiest way to do this would me IMO to overwrite the POI icon files (the image files that show the little dots) with a transparent image file. Deleting them might also work. Tell me if it has worked for you please (if you want to undo the change, running the updater again will restore the POIs).

Greetings, Robert

You should just be able to delete the POI file. That would do it. No need to make a transparent file. The POI file is called icon_map3.dds and is located in your images/icons/ subfolder in your UI folder.

After messing around with it, I found a way for it to work. When I deleted that Icon.dds file, it did't work, it just made all the POI a white square on the map. So next I went into the EQ2map dir and deleted all files that had icon in the name it it appears to have work. Thank you!

However doing this will remove all the icons from the Zones that it adds maps for. So Sunken City, Wailing Caves, etc, zones that dont normally have a map are missing the zone icons.
