EQ2 Updates

In the past when SoE did a huge update, I logged on and needed to see the broker. I had a message saying that my interface <Fetish Nightfall> was not compatible and had to use default or another compatible interface. Well my friend ran me through a process of deleting my new interface an reinstalling it. That worked and I was able to use the broker. Now I face a similar problem. I cannot inspect people nor myself. It says the same thing as it did when i had the problem with the broker. I did like I did last time uninstalling it an reinstalling. Well that did not fix the problem. What can I do to fix this current problem?

Live Update 25 brings some major changes to the inventory xml. A version number of 2.0 has been set in the xml so interface authors are required to update their inventory xml before it will work again.

For those of you that don’t know how to update your inventory xml please be patient and hopefully your custom inventory window will be updated in a couple days. In the mean time most of you should be able to delete the eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml in your custom interface folder to regain access to your inventory. If you still have trouble you can disable your interface by either deleting/renaming the custom ui folder or deleting/renaming the eq2.ini file you made to install it.

In short:
Go to your fetish folder and delete eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml..
This will let you use the default inventory window until
Zonx upates the UI... Then download the new version and reinstall it.
