Default Equipment Comparer?

If this has been asked before, iam sorry for repeating but i couldnt find any info on it. Is there a ui or way to make one that will bring up a tooltip on mouseover of equipment that will display currently equipped items for faster comparison?

Not possible, we can't edit the tooltips.

As soon as KoS comes out you will see that when you hover over an item in your inventory or on the market, it shows you the items stats AND whatever you have equipped in that slot. So just sit back and wait a week.

I would like to see a button or checkbox added to (preferably) the Start Button that would toggle this feature on/off.

Seen the command to do this on the official forums.

cl_chain_tooltips 0
cl_chain_tooltips 1

Thanks!

Dawrid

oh please - someone do this. Those tooltips are handy at times but most of the time they just get in the way and block my screen ><

Macro the two commands

/cl_chain_tooltips 0

In a macro will turn it off. A 1 will enable it again.

I have it that way now. I am trying to get rid of hot key banks taking up space, not add to it.

I figured that with the Start Button mods that are out there, with toggles for bags, nightvision, sound/music mutes, etc..., it would be an easy thing to do.

I even attempted to modify one myself, but that was a disaster waiting to happen. Was trying it on this one http://, http://www.eq2interface.com...fo.php?id=4109, because of the simple design, and I like the little clock on top.

So, the request still stands, can one of you gawds of mod do this, or at least 'splain to me how? (be easier to do it yourself, I imagine)

Thanks!

Dawrid

You have to set in properties for the button you desire inside the startbutton.xml as per the following property statements:

OnSet: cl_chain_tooltips = 0 cl_chain_tooltips = 0
OnUnset: cl_chain_tooltips = 1 cl_chain_tooltips = 1

Yes, you must repeat the statement twice, it works.. I have tested in my own startbutton mod I have.
