Ok guys here it goes...
My brother broke his TV (not sure how, I've had mine longer and his broke first - same TV mind you), and so we're working on getting him a new thing. My deal is, I could give him my TV and get a new monitor (TV compatible probably) and use that instead.
So, I don't know much about monitors and what kind to get and what prices and whatnot, and I know a lot of you know your stuff. My question to you is what would be the best thing for me to get? I want a decent size screen, but I also would rather it be the standard 3:4 ratio than the 16:4 or whatever for widescreen...IF the resolution is better. I haven't looked around much, but for the most part, it seems to me that widescreen monitors lack vertical pixel height (small resolutions - only up to like 1024 or 1200 at MOST - correct me if I'm wrong).
Anyway, any input on what you guys think would be best? I hear those Dell monitors are rockin' it pretty good, but as they're widescreen, I'm kinda hesitant. I would like to get a good sized screen, as I said, hopefully more than 20inches if possible.
I'm pretty much a newbie to monitors, so..enlighten me. The more info the better, as well as possibly some links to help me out.
Thanks again! You guys are great here!
