Spotted the player search bug myself. I'll look into it.
Compass bug noted. Thx for pointing that out. I did see something about compass direction in the patch notes. My guess is SOE tweaked the server code to correct their bugged window, which then broke every other custom compass window :/
Personabar bugs noted. I'll deffinetly fix the close button and see what I can do about the Inventory and Clock opening it. Both of these result from code designed to keep the clock and compass properly layered. The "Closed by default" customization does resolve the inv and clock opening issue.
Man0warr, yes the inventory window was intentionally changed to ignore esc. Was actually announced in an earlier update but I missed making the change for Nightfall. The "I" key can still be used to toggle the inventory window.
shaggineq2, the files you listed are obsolete versions of the old Personabar. Delete them.
Due to the confusion many people had with the last patch, I'll be issuing a full update to resolve these bugs and any others reported in the next day.
On the possitive side, a programmer PMed me yesterday volunteering to collaborate on an auto-updater. If all goes as planned, downloads will be a thing of the past, allowing for regular partial updates on the fly.

Not sure if this is a bug or a know issue or i just screw the pooch on setin it up again but i noticed that when i use one of the illusion mask for holloween or a totem that shapechanges i get no effect it shows in the spells window and i seem to be getting the effects but like totem of wolf i dont change to a wolf or the bear or tiger and none of the mask are working,,

cool thanks on that input zonx, but i also noticed that as soon as you click the camp to desktop that dam persona bar pops up again.
heh id be nice to get the close button to work but well id much rather see it not pop up when opening sumting else or clickin on a button on certain things.
hehe i never use the persona bar, so first i tried to use the old eq2ui_mainhud_persona, but alas that didnt fix the poping up of it, so i tried using the old eq2_inventory_inventory and that didnt solve it either. So i guess i could open its display options then move it off the screen and then completly hide it and lock it lol....hehe can ya tell it popin up annoys the hell out of me.

Is there any thing I can change to switch back to inventory not ignoring escape?

That sounds awesome can't wait. I really love all the work you put into this UI and if you ever quit, I'm quitting EQ2 since I can't stand SOE and their style.

This hasn't anything to do with the UI, unless you have added something to it, like Goldi's Startbutton, or Jaxel's Startbutton, with a hide illusion or show hood button. To get your totem illusions to show up, either click the button for hide illusions, or type /hide_illusion. To get your halloween mask to show up (not an illusion, but a headpiece) click the showhood button, or type /showhood.

This is what the FetishNightfall.doc says (now that Zonx pointed it out to me a few posts back when I asked about it) on how to keep it from showing up.
on Page 16, Under Personabar:
"Closed by Default: open eq2ui_mainhud_compass.xml in Notepad. Search for and delete…
show_window=(MainHUD.Personabar)
show_window=(MainHUD.Personabar)
Save and Exit."
Works great, keeps it from popping up. Haven't seen it since I did that.

Yet anther question - is there a way to disable Enter registering for the loot window? Sometimes I hit enter to start typing the second loot comes up and I get stuck with "all" and can't see the loot =/

Hello,
I followed the directions in "Customizations" section of FetishNightfall.doc in order to make Inventory Zoomed with Stats my default. The stats do show but the inventory is not zoomed by default. Here is the code I used (yes I edited with Notepad as the directions say).

In the release notes for version 4.8, It states: "Login: EverQuest2.exe login window now provides Character and Server boxes for direct character login. You may hardcode your Password and preferred server by opening eq2ui_loginscene.xml and replacing PASSWORD and SERVER."
I've tried this and either I'm missing something, or it doesnt work with version 4.9. Below is where I tried to change it.

Vrs 4.9: Feedback
OK. I am running version 4.9 of Fetish Nightfall.
1. The rectangular compass is "off" in its direction by, it looks like, 90 degrees. The regular circle compass does NOT have a problem. The file for the regular compass looks like it was changed in 4.9, but that of the rectangular compass was not.

Stat strip
Zonx - I love the statstrip that you added with 4.9. I am struggling to keep it on my screen though. If I replace any other xml file or dds file the statstrip disappears. An example is that I prefer the milquest Journal. When I replace your xml with his I find that the journal works but the statstrip is gone. This happens with any other file as well. I tested it on the clock and compass xml's and also testing it by just replacing the bars dds. The all make the statstrip disappear.
Just re-downloaded everythiing and tried this again. I was able to make many mods with no errors. I deleted my serv_char_uisettings file so i could get the defaults. Statstrip still appeared. I moved the bar then made 2 more changes (clock, compass). Either moving it causes it to disappear or clock and compass. Not sure which.

I bet he will doing that when you pay him a full time job for doing the design. I still wonder why Sony does not hire some experienced UI developers and designers like him to give more than one main supported UI.
But hell.. he would be put on other things if he gets in what he is doing.. so no .. he should stay the way he is now <eg>

I fully agree. I always anxiously wait for an update, but I never ask where it is or when it's going to be released to us. I love the UI and hate going back to the Default, but it do if necessary. I think it's amazing how fast updates are released.
I also don't understand why Sony doesn't have more than 1 UI. Even if it was the same UI just reskinned, or if there was an option to tint the windows in the game (kind of like they added for the combat arts or spells when you don't have enough power).

Minor (but irritating) Problems
Zonx, I love your UI. So, when it's not working, I try to fix it. But, like so many, I know next to nothing about XML. I'm appealing to the many who read this forum, who might be able to point me in the right direction to correct my errors myself.
Like Faoj, my compass is still off, by 90degrees. I use the rectangular compass, with the addition of the larger font by floppytoes. Not sure if that is preventing the direction correction.
Also, like Buravid, I used the customizing directions in the .doc file to change my inventory window, for permanent shrink. I was hoping for shrink to the FetishDock window placement, but I can handle having to open/close once to get the positioning. However, in adding the lines to get the shrink, I also seem to have added, all unknowing, an open on login command.
Any help to correct these problems would be very much appreciated. Admittedly, they are minor, but its like a drip from a faucet, getting worse by the day.

This UI is awsome, but i have encountered a number of problems haveing to do with the venders. While visiting them the sell option is not available, as well as not being able to mend gear. so far this is all i have had trouble with. thanks

The XML to show the stat strip is in one of those files (Though I have forgotten which one)
Look in the fetish word doc page 16 to see which one, you can just copy the two lines that refer to showing the statstrip into whatever you replace it with and it should keep working.
