Try deleting the ui_settings file or renameing it and see if that keeps you from crahsing.

Also might want to make sure you uninstall any other ver of extreme.

That is the new tool tip the game uses for spells and ca's. I think you can turn it off on the options somewhere, you'll have to read to patch notes because I don't recall where it is.

1. Yea, SOE changed the window it looks for them 3 buttons. I didn't catch thsi because I always use k to open and close it.

the arrow keys for the tab is SOE's issue.

Its ment to be clear, so you can see through the middle of it, target mobs or what ever TS table you have can be in the middle and u spells in the background.

Prob same issue as with the spell book, but instend of zoneing or campying , press the u key.

Nope no bug with the shader button. What is happen is I have no clue, The shader button has defaulted to on since day one. Its prob the way you have another setting. Once you log in, go into option and set you video to one of the three standerd settins then work from there. /shrug.

I am having this problem as well, I tried the Extreme UI a few weeks ago but when I used Alt+ Enter to perform other tasks it would crash the game. I am trying this new version and so far, this is the only problem I can find with it.

Previously a die Hard fan of Fetish Nightfall,

I must say and congradulate you on your latest UI update.

The installer was the first thing that blew me away, lots of TLC went into that, love the layout and the (working uisettings.ini ) resolution specific files supplied ( unlike some other mods - Not nightfall in this case ).

First off thanks again Landiin, Awesome job with the recent installer. After previous attempts with the first version of the installer I went back to the previous version of eXtremeUI, but i knew I had to use it for the expansion pack. So I backup my old extreme directory and installed it, and it worked great, Im glad you got the 1280 x 1024 screen size setup.
A few requests/bugs:
- I am having the same problem with the chat window arrow to slide the tabs left. It goes grey'd where you cant press it.
- I can't wait to get away from that boring back ground ya got , when you get the other background graphics done.
- MackGee's Vispack for eXtreme UI does not seem to work anylonger. The main part I liked this for was the different font above PC's/NPC's heads.
Is it hard to change it? Could you give me some details on how to change it if its not hard? I've never messed with this UI stuff before, but I don't mind attempting it.

As far as the shader button I did what you suggested. I played with the graphic settings and that didnt seem to help. I then uninstalled EQ2 along with extremeUI and reinstalled everything with default settings. As soon as I loged in had same issue. Could this be a hardware issue with the graphics card? I am using the Geforce 7800GTX.
Also if you could suggest some setting in the games options that might have to do with the shader as I am out of ideas.
Second thing is...I see the round day night symbol to tell you time in game. Is there a way to get this to tell you the exact ingame time and earth time?

Hmm was the chat window doing that before? Because nothing really changed with that window besides the graphics and thats just a style so no properties where changed.

Mythix If you use the default UI do you have this issue? About the clock I could but bouth are already displayed all the time on the invintory window. If you think it needs it sure I could add it.

The problem isn't there with the default Ui. I even tried some of the other new UI that have been updated since the patch and have no problem either.
As for the clock ya that would be great. I once used Laffs UI and it had the ingame and earth clock on the screen and it was a very useful tool. Mostly for when you promise the family you will stop playing at a certain time

I was giving it some thought and was wondering if my settings for my video card might have something to do with this. I have most all my settings cranked up full for quality on my card. When I get home from work I will relax those and see if that helps.

I am having the same issue as Cinadien.
When I use the buttons to scroll to the right and get to the end they gray out and won’t go back to the left. So then I’m stuck @ the right end. Then I pulled a tab out and it made a new Chat window I can’t get rid of because there’s no Window Title Bar ergo no Close ‘X’.

I have seen the level 100 Shadow knight on every mob I’ve targeted. I haven’t tried spamming Cons though as another poster suggested.

The main Hotkey bar doesn’t want to seem to want to release Icon for movement. I needed to jog some spells around with the changed way they work and it was a royal pain.

Can you allow for @ least 5-10% shading on the Abilities/spell/combat/trades skills window? I cant see the squares and it’s a little hard I move stuff around to organize my boos as I get new abilities so I can have like abilities on the same page and when I tired to put them in the middle left column it kept clicking the lock/ unlock feature. With patience I moved some but some shader would do wonders.

Other than that looks promising.

I also have an issue with the bottom chat window going black, it was working last night (other than the scroller issue) and this morning it has gone to black!



Appreciate your hard work and dedication on the UI but, untill these issues are fixed I am going to try and find a working UI that will support the tasks neccesary to run a raiding guild effectively.

I will monitor this thread a pray for the fixes because I really like the layout and "feel" of this one....

Hmm looks like on the guiod window you are missing some timplates. Did you completly remove the old eXtreme? Shouldn't have to but the things you are missing from the guild window comes from a template file. I'll double check to see if it got included in the install too.

The chat window fadeing is normal, just set the opactiy to full on in the window settings for frames and background also.

Na your settings should be fine if other uis are working ok.

If you can can you go into the extreme direcotry and post as an attachment the eq2ui_mainhud_experience.xml file. If you can zip it up that would be better but you can do it either way as the file isn't big at all.

As for just know RL and game time its alreayd being displayed just to the left of the clock under your bags/weapons and above the zone name. left time is game time left time is RL time and date.

couple issues. first target window is says 100 shadowknight i have tryed clicking con serveral times and it starts wotking for a bit then messes up again, other issue is when i set chat colors and log out they go back to your chat colors when i log back in.

awsome ui but cant wait for other background colors.

Ok, I deleted the old Extreme folder and reinstalled the new one, now it seems the guild windows are working fine as is the vision button. There is a new problem, however, now everything shows as level 100 shadow knight in the targetting window. Thanks again.

Update note. I found the problem with the shader button. Sorry for all the trouble but it is a SOE problem. I checked out the EQ2 forums and found tons of people having the same problem. Turns out the antialiasing is broken since the patch. I needed to disable that setting on my video card for everything to work. Seems antialiasing is really messing up the complex shader in the game.
Well looks like SOE strikes again. Thank you so much for this great UI and all your hard work.

I am also experiencing the same issues with the guild window as Cinadien (permission boxes not showing) and have done a complete remove and re-install of the ui on two different computers, so I believe the templates you mentioned may not be in the install package. Also, the guild bank window cannot be closed and I have to zone in order to get it to close. I couldn't seem to find a key combination to get it to close either. So far though, the whole family is very happy using this UI (mom, dad and kid). Keep up the good work!!

Hmm...ok, it seems the guild thing is working but after I logged in a second time the vision button was broken yet again. It does absolutely nothing when clicked other than turn the little blue box next to it on and off. Still no clue what to do about the silly targetting issue of everything coming up as level 100 Shadow Knight though...oh, and Landlin, hitting u doesn't close the guild bank box there is no key to do this zoning or logging out are only way to do it at the moment.

This is an extemely annoying bug.. once they're greyed out you stuck.

The splash screens are massive and we know we're using eXetremeUI why blast us everytime we login? Guild Logo on everything is also way over kill.

I really love this UI but these little annoyances are enough to make me go back to default.

As for the 100 shadow knight I have no clue how yall are getting that as a target. The only place 100 shadow knight shows up in the entire UI is a place holder for you lvl and name in the exp window.

I see that I am having some of the same issues as others. Just wanted to throw my voice in a confirm that for me the:

Back button in top right chat box does not work.
Close button on the Guild Bank Window does not work.
Close button on the knowledge Window does not work.


Other then these minor issues- the UI is one of the best I have used. And thank you for the easy installation.

Guys there is nothing I can do about the scroll buttons on the chat tap That is a bug in SOE UI code. It does the same thing with the default UI also. So untill I can find a work around or SOE fixes it, we're just gonna have to not use tabs past the buttons

New Knowledge window incoming soon. (tweeking some things)

Getting to the guild bank but for now you can type this in
/hide_window Inventory.guildbank and it will close the wndow.
