Installing more than one interface

So since there seem to be a few names I recognize from shopping around for mods present in this thread....

Might I tap you guys on some suggested reading about mod making beyond just some of the FAQs present in here?

Its been a few years since I was doing programming work with a company doing XML with XSL style sheets, but kinda like when I crack open a page with German on it my old German lessons from high school come back, so does XML and its structure/syntax. Figure if I could get a couple of good refreshers I might try my hand at a few of my own mods at some point here in the future.
