Complete UI with Functionality and No Graphical Overhaul?

I just picked up EQ2 on the weekend and found the basic interface somewhat lacking. Since I came from WoW I was used to having a lot of mods that added functionality (and used to them all breaking after each patch).

I tried a few of the Complete mods for download here, but find they break basic functionality in some way (like the TJ one broke mail, tried Nedra and found the 'Not for sale' checkbox missing from the buy/sell window).

Does anyone know of any UI compilations that don't try to change each and every window possible? I'd like improved player/target/group bars, and the current chatbox and eqmap mods are great, but am I stuck trying to pick individual pieces and making my own?

Also I see in some screenshots they seem to have changed the texture on the letterbox area, is this easily down or are they simply layering another custom frame over top of it?

Fetish Nightfall/Fetich Classic complete sets are great mods that don't break anything. Goldi's complete set is really good too. The thing is to make sure you get the latest ones as they have been updated and it won't break stuff.
