100 "Error Updating" messages.
Fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP2.
Fresh install of Everquest II from DVD in "W:\Everquest II". This install has NOT been run yet.
Fresh install of auto updater 1.0 and I recieve exactly 100 "error updating" boxes. One of them states:
Null value for download:
ServerPath
foricons_befallen_0.xml
W:\Everquest II\UI\EQ2MAP\eq2map\
There is one for 99 other zones.
I don't have time to scour forums, or look into why this might be but I thought I'd post to help any folks working on this program.
I'm going to assume that this bug is possibly due to a fresh install of Everquest 2 without any updates. I'll post back if that corrected the problem.

With the latest version I get 101 error messages when updateing from nothing...
sample of one:
Code:
Null value for download:
ServerPath
foricons_qey_ph_2r02.xml
C:\Documents and Settings\Catharsis\Desktop\eq2\UI\EQ2MAP\eq2map\
Looks like its putting for in front of the file name icons_qey_ph_2r02.xml

I rolled back the update taco-man made. I uploaded the first release of 1.0 that I tested that works for me and 99% of the rest of you. Re-Download the setup and run it.

I went back in time and got a version of the updater that worked and put it up for download. Its a term they even use in eq2 when they say "We are rolling back the servers" when there is a major bug.

ok everyone i appologize for this problem everyone i have uploaded a fixed version of it, the problem was from vb's definition of nothing is a little bit too broad.
Also on a side note, those of you with slower computers may notice a increase in the download speed, i did a little bit of optimizing
