I found the best was to almost guarantee my UI saves correctly is to /camp and then exit the game. Never use /quit or /camp desktop it so oftem doesn't save anything.

Also I always zone at least once after redoing a UI.

This UI so far has proven to be one of the most bug free and well written since EQ1 let alone EQ2.
