Default Interface is not saving after exit?

Is there any way to save position and settings of the interface when exiting EQ?
It seems that my windows (some) move and my chat box disappears until i chat in it and the settings for the chat box dont hold (no scroll bar) Anyone know if theres a / command or something that i can do to save the position of my windows?

I have been having this same problem. I have tried to create 2 seperate chat windows, one for my combat spam, and one for all my chat channels, ie ooc, shout, guild, tells etc.

Whenever I log back in my chat screen is invisible and above my combat (main chat) window. No matter what I do it resets. I have run a full file scan at the suggestion of some other players to no avail.

Any ideas?

Known SOE bug that apparently results from a corupted Serversettings.ini file. The file attached to THIS POST apparently fixes it. You'll have to rename the file to match your current char_server_settings.ini. Be aware, you'll have to reposition all your windows after installing this, but it should fix the "no save" bug.

Camp to Character Select Screen when you log rather than camping to desktop. Almost every single person I know who's had this problem has been camping to Desktop.

Also many people have reported the trouble fixed by deleting

EverQuest2.exe
( Not sure on this one, but that is what CSR tells people to do)

and let the patcher re-download this file.

And also the fix Zonx mentioned works well, but you do have to re-posisition the windows with that one.
